Warranty and complaints

All products we sell come with a product warranty. The product warranty covers material and manufacturing defects that may appear after short-term use.

Typical defects covered by the warranty include unexpected breakages of the product due to material or manufacturing defects during normal use.

The warranty does not cover damages resulting from misuse, normal wear and tear, or incidents unrelated to material or manufacturing defects—such as accidental collision or poor handling.

A broken floorball stick is not considered a material or manufacturing defect if:

  • The stick hit another stick during a shot or pass
  • The stick hit the goalpost
  • The stick was stepped on
  • The stick got stuck between legs
  • The stick has been used multiple times

Regulations set by the International Floorball Federation (IFF) require stick shafts to break at a certain strength or impact level for safety reasons—for example, if the shaft gets caught between the legs, it should give way rather than cause injuries.

Warranty and liability for defects

The warranty is determined according to the warranty terms defined by the manufacturer.

Mailavelho (Oikein Group Oy) reserves the right to verify the defects reported in the products. This process should always allow 3-5 business days.

Mailavelho (Oikein Group Oy) is not responsible for damages caused by the buyer's actions. The right to inspect the nature and quality of a product defect remains with Mailavelho (Oikein Group Oy) even in cases of cancellation of the purchase.

Complaints

The customer is obliged to present proof of purchase, a receipt, or other evidence of the purchase date when returning an item or complaining about a defect.

Complaints are handled only in writing. An informal complaint can be submitted either by email to asiakaspalvelu@mailavelho.fi or by letter to Mailavelho, Juurakkotie 4 B 2, 37150 Nokia. Our customer service will provide instructions on the complaint procedure specific to each manufacturer/brand.

Resolution of disputes and forum: A consumer customer has the right to refer disputes arising from this agreement to the Consumer Disputes Board. The customer may bring an action concerning disputes arising from this debt relationship against Oikein Group Oy either in the district court of Oikein Group Oy's domicile or in the district court of the locality in Finland where they reside. If the Customer does not have a residence in Finland, disputes will be handled in the district court of Oikein Group Oy's domicile.

Legal fees are not reimbursed, as consumer counselling and the Consumer Disputes Board offer free assistance in resolving disputes.
